Tech stack detector
Detect CMS, frameworks and technologies of a website.
How this tool works
The tech stack detector identifies CMS, frameworks, server software and other technologies of a website based on HTTP headers, HTML patterns and meta tags. Comparable to BuiltWith or Wappalyzer, but EU-hosted and without tracking.
Typical use cases
- Competitor analysis: which CMS and plugins does the competition use?
- Before relaunch: document current technology base
- Security audit: detect outdated software versions
- Sales: filter potential clients by CMS (e.g. all WordPress sites)
Frequently asked questions
How accurate is the detection?
Header-based detection (Server, X-Powered-By) is 100% accurate. HTML pattern detection is 80-95% — well-maintained sites can remove fingerprints.
Which technologies are detected?
WordPress, Shopware, Shopify, WooCommerce, Joomla, Drupal, TYPO3, Next.js, Nuxt.js, React, Vue, Angular, Svelte, Laravel, jQuery, Bootstrap, Tailwind CSS and more.
Is JavaScript executed?
No — we analyze the initial HTML response and HTTP headers. SPAs that render only via JS will show fewer technologies.
Can I protect my own site from detection?
Partially: remove Server headers (X-Powered-By, X-Generator), hide WordPress version meta tag, change default paths. Complete prevention is not possible.
Are analytics tools also detected?
Yes — common analytics snippets (Google Analytics, Matomo, Hotjar) are detected in HTML as long as they are directly embedded in the source code.
Is version detection supported?
Where possible yes — e.g. WordPress via generator meta tag, PHP via X-Powered-By header. Not all technologies expose their version.
