What is my IP address?
Your public IPv4/IPv6 with geo-location, ISP, ASN and reverse DNS.
How this tool works
This page shows everything a webserver or external service can read from your internet connection: your public IPv4 or IPv6 address, country/region/city, ISP, ASN (Autonomous System Number), reverse DNS (PTR) and browser language plus user agent. Data comes straight from your current HTTP request — we store neither IP nor user agent, everything is processed in memory.
Typical use cases
- Check which IP your home network currently has (device restart, new router lease)
- Verify a VPN actually tunnels — IP and geo change should match the VPN region
- In whitelist conflicts of corporate apps, see which IP your browser presents externally
- Confirm IPv6 availability of your line (dual-stack vs. CG-NAT)
Frequently asked questions
Does XICTRAQ store my IP?
No. The tool does not store it: your IP is processed in request memory, returned to you and discarded. Like every page request, the request appears in the server log (see privacy policy, section 3). The page sets no cookies.
What is an ASN?
An Autonomous System Number identifies a network in global routing (BGP). For example, ASN 24940 belongs to Hetzner, ASN 13335 to Cloudflare. It tells you which provider carries your connection.
Why is my city sometimes wrong?
IP geolocation uses open IP-geo databases (DB-IP) that map IP ranges to coarse regions. With mobile carriers, VPN endpoints or carrier-grade NAT it often shows the provider location instead of your actual location.
What does IPv6 dual-stack mean?
Your line is assigned both an IPv4 and an IPv6 address. The tool shows which one your browser chose for this request — modern browsers prefer IPv6 when both are available (Happy Eyeballs).
Does this help against IP tracking?
It only shows your currently visible IP. To protect against IP-based tracking you also need VPN or Tor — and must then also consider browser fingerprinting (canvas, fonts, WebRTC).
